Powrmatic have extended its popular range of Vision twin duct, through the wall heat pump air-conditioners with the introduction of two new models – with nominal cooling capacities of 1.8kW and 3.1kW. These join the established 2.3kW model which has already proved very successful in a wide range of applications.
To assist hoteliers with air conditioning control, Powrmatic have also introduced WiFi Control which lets you control multiple units from your smartphone device or tablet via your local WiFi network. (Only available on Vision 2.3 & 3.1 DC Inverter models)
The easy to use app displays current temperature settings and allows the user to change temperature, fan speed, and air flow direction from anywhere at a touch of a button. In applications such as hotel buildings, the reception desk can activate, control, and deactivate each unit in every room depending on the occupancy. They can warm up or cool down the room before hotel guests arrive, and ensure the units are switched off when the room is unoccupied saving valuable energy consumption. The twin-duct, monobloc design means there is no need for an external condenser, making Vision units ideal for applications where aesthetics or planning regulations mitigate against the use of outdoor units. Other key features include exceptionally low noise levels of 27 dBa, Class A efficiency and a stylish contemporary appearance. Control is via a touchscreen display on the unit or a compact remote controller.
Since Powrmatic’s launch of the Vision it has proved itself in a number of applications, including the new Nottingham Belfry Hotel, operated by QHotels Group. Here, the success of the first phase of the project has resulted in a roll-out of Vision units throughout the Nottingham Belfry, as well as the Oxford Belfry. Also Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa installed 45 units at their prestigious Silverstone complex in Northamptonshire.
Vision units can be mounted at low, medium or high level on an external wall. Installation is very straightforward, requiring just two 162mm diameter holes to the outside – and the absence of refrigerant pipework means they are not subject to F-Gas regulations. All components are accessed from the front of the unit for ease of servicing.
