Sustainability at every level of operation.

Powrmatic is committed to sustainable development, and we aim to achieve economic, environmental and social sustainability throughout our business and supply chain. Manufacturing all of our heating and ventilation equipment in the UK helps create economic resilience by flying the flag for British built products in the HVAC industry.

  •

    Cycle to work scheme

We provide a cycle to work scheme for employees, offering savings on cost of a new bike and cycling equipment. We believe in having a fitter, healthier staff which improves  productivity. The average person making a typical daily car commute of four miles each way would save 0.5 tonnes of CO2, or 6% of their annual carbon footprint, by switching to cycling.

  •

    Reducing waste

We have implemented a wide-ranging reduce, reuse and recycling policy, encompassing both manufacturing and office areas, to ensure all waste materials are sorted into the appropriate waste streams for collection and recycling. We continually assess product packaging to ensure effective production for our products without over-packaging and wherever possible make use of recyclable packaging materials.

    Efficiency by Design

As a manufacturer of energy-consuming products we have a responsibility to help our customers reduce their environmental impact. This is achieved by designing products that deliver the very highest standards of efficient performance, backed by design, commissioning and ongoing maintenance support to maintain this efficiency throughout the life cycle of our products.

  • “As a company we have a responsibility to introduce new strategies and initiatives that will shape Powrmatic for years to come. From the way we operate our business, to the work we perform with our customers and suppliers we must ensure what we do is fit for the future and overall makes a positive environmental, societal and economic impact.”

Embedding

Sustainability is a key aspect of our manufacturing operations, from product
designs that optimise manufacturing
efficiency and sourcing of materials through to our investment in energy-efficient production machinery.

Design

As a manufacturer of energy-consuming
products, we have a responsibility to help our customers reduce their environmental impact. We achieve this by designing products that deliver the very highest standards of efficient performance, backed by design, commissioning
and ongoing maintenance support to maintain this efficiency throughout the life cycle of the products.

Reduce

We have implemented wide-ranging re-use and recycling policy, encompassing both manufacturing and office areas, to ensure all waste materials are sorted into the appropriate waste streams for collection and recycling. We also use the minimum amount of packaging while ensuring effective protection of our products – and wherever possible, make use of recyclable packaging materials.

Footprint

We take care to minimise the impact of our operations. Through innovative initiatives, we have achieved a substantial reduction in our CO₂ emissions and encourage our employees to reduce their own carbon footprint. We continually strive to reduce the carbon footprint of our facilities by regularly evaluating their environmental performance and implementing measures that deliver ongoing improvements.

Engagement

We ensure all of our staff are aware of
sustainability issues and their role in helping us to achieve sustainability practices. Staff are also actively encouraged to suggest ways in which we can improve our environmental performance, which we feel can only enhance how we work as a company together moving forward.

Supply Chain

Our policy is to work with suppliers that reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship and always strive to apply sustainable practices throughout the supply chain management. Our aim is to make our supply chain costefficient, minimising their impact on the environment and delivering products and
services on time.
